Launched in June 2023, the Dallas Housing Coalition is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization made up of over 265 nonprofit and for-profit organizations and individuals, all dedicated to advocating for the creation and preservation of attainable housing in Dallas.

Advocating for a better, healthier Dallas
Ashley Owen Brundage, President and CEO of Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, is the co-founder and Chair of the Coalition. Most recently, the DHC supported ForwardDallas 2.0, the City of Dallas’ comprehensive land use plan update, which the Dallas City Council approved on September 25, 2024. Later that fall, the Coalition hosted its inaugural Housing Summit, drawing more than 280 community members and affordable housing advocates.
